Super Bowl
I’ve never been much of a football fan, but our friends Jan and Kate convinced us to come over and watch the game. To sweeten the deal they tempted us with turkey chili. We’re really glad we went. I hadn’t watched a full game in over ten years, but WOW. This Super Bowl was fantastic. I started out rooting for New England and then switched my allegiance over to the Panthers. No reason, really. I didn’t know much about either team, I just wanted to see a good game.
And a good game it was. Tied at 29 after a defensive brawl in the first and third and an offensive brawl in the second and fourth. Came down to the last 2 seconds and a long field goal (as well as a shanked kick by the Panthers). Very exciting stuff, and just about the first time I’ve ever used Tivo to rewind the commercials.
It was nice fast forwarding through Janet Jackson, though. Scaaary.
