I finally did it. I got up the courage (and time) to destroy my studio and rebuild it from the subfloor up. I yanked the carpet and all the trim and will tear out the door soon. I’m in the process of framing up a couple of walls and a soundproof vocal booth (with a floating floor!). Then I’ll wire for lights, sheetrock, tape and texture, paint, new curtains, and finally the wood floor. Then I get to build some more efficient furniture that better suits my workstyle.
Lots of fun but also pretty intimidating.
