I&#039;ve decided my kaisen this year is to notch out all of the tracks to accommodate the vocalists- to EXACTLY accommodate the vocalists. I&#039;m going back to the sheet music and taking the exact frequencies of the melody into account and then compensating for overtones, then notching out the final mixes to leave room for the voice. It&#039;s totally anal and completely overboard, but I&#039;m curious if it&#039;ll make the vocals easier to hear. 
Of course, if the audio guys bump the mic down 2db or turn the track up 2db it&#039;ll all be for naught. Sigh.</description>
