  1. I don’t know the context, but this seems like an unusual comment for a candidate who claims that he’d do a better job than our current president in reaching out to others and building consensus, coalitions, etc.

    Does he plan to ignore the South? If so, he’s not as smart as he’s portrayed to be.

  2. While I’ve no love for the man’s politics in the slightest, I understand what he’s saying. This is just the 50+ year old’s version of “take my ball and go home.”

    McAuliffe et. al. know that the South is lost to them in this race and so they are using HarvardWords TM to say “shucks, who needs ’em?”
